How to make data invisible from cells

To make data invisible in excel cells, select the cells and change the font color to cell’s fill color. (white for default white fill color).

This will make data invisible to user. However, if these cells are selected then cells values are displayed. Please refer the screenshot below.

With Selection

To hide data even during selection mode, follow below mentioned steps…

1. Select the cells in which data needs to be hidden
2. Right click & select format cells (Shortcut key - Ctrl + 1)
3. In Number tab select custom
4. In Type, enter “;;;” (three semicolons)
5. Press OK

Now this data is invisible even in the selection mode.
